How much does it cost?
LearnZulu is free to start — no card needed. Free accounts include select lessons (1 per week), 10 flashcards per day, 10 quizzes per day, easy-mode word tap games (1 session/day), dictionary access, and read-only community access. The Standard plan unlocks everything: all lessons, unlimited practice, AI homework help, a dedicated tutor, and weekly parent reports. Pricing depends on your child's grade. Fill in the enrolment form and we'll include pricing in our response.
Is a tutor included or do I pay extra?
A dedicated tutor is included in the Standard plan — it is not a separate add-on. Every Standard account is matched with a vetted IsiZulu tutor who reviews work and sends you weekly reports.
Does my child need to attend sessions?
Your child works at their own pace — there is no timetable to follow. The Standard plan includes up to 2 online sessions per term that can be booked when your child needs live help with a specific topic. Additional sessions beyond the monthly cap are available at an extra cost.
What happens after I submit the enrolment form?
Our admin team reviews your enrolment and matches your child with the most suitable tutor based on their grade and learning needs. We confirm by email within 2–3 business days. Once confirmed, the tutor will reach out directly to arrange a short initial consultation.
What is the initial consultation?
Before your child starts, their tutor contacts you (the parent) for a brief discussion — usually by phone or message. The aim is to understand where your child currently stands: recent school marks, which topics they find difficult, and what you want them to achieve. The tutor logs this baseline in the platform so that feedback and weekly reports are tailored from day one, not generic.
How do I stay informed about my child's progress?
You receive a written weekly report from your child's tutor through the platform. You can also message the tutor directly at any time — no separate app or email chain needed.
Is my information kept private?
Yes. Submissions and progress data are only visible to your child and their assigned tutor. Admin can access accounts for support purposes only.
